ReplyGenius does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

• Your Twitter/X account information
• Your tweets, replies, or social media content
• Your API keys or credentials
• Your browsing history or behavior
• Any personal identification information
• Usage analytics or tracking data

Local Storage Only

All your settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using Chrome's secure storage API:

• AI service configuration (API endpoints, model preferences)
• Reply style preferences
• Custom reply templates you create
• Language settings
• Extension preferences

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third parties.

2. How We Process Data

Tweet Content Processing

When you use ReplyGenius to generate a reply:

• The tweet text is temporarily processed by the extension
• The content is sent to your configured AI service (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) through our secure proxy
• The AI generates a response based on the tweet content
• The generated reply is returned to you
• No tweet content is stored by ReplyGenius

AI Service Communication

ReplyGenius acts as a secure proxy between your browser and AI services:

• Your API requests are routed through our background service for Chrome Web Store compliance
• We do not log, store, or analyze the content of these requests
• All communication is encrypted
• Rate limiting is applied for security purposes

3. Third-Party Services

AI Service Providers

When you use ReplyGenius, your tweet content may be sent to AI service providers you configure:

• OpenAI (GPT models)
• Anthropic (Claude models)
• Other OpenAI-compatible services

Twitter/X Integration

ReplyGenius integrates with Twitter/X by:

• Adding UI elements to Twitter's interface
• Reading tweet content when you click the AI button
• Inserting generated replies into Twitter's composer

We do not collect or store any Twitter data. All interactions remain between you and Twitter.

4. Data Security

Local Data Protection

• All settings are stored using Chrome's secure storage API
• API keys are encrypted before storage
• No data is transmitted to our servers
• Extension uses Content Security Policy for additional protection

Communication Security

• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
• No data is logged or stored during transmission
• Rate limiting prevents abuse
• Input sanitization prevents injection attacks

5. Your Rights and Control

Full Control Over Your Data

• All your data is stored locally and under your control
• You can delete all extension data by uninstalling the extension
• You can reset settings through the extension preferences
• You control which AI services to use and when

Permissions Explanation

ReplyGenius requests minimal permissions:

• Storage: To save your preferences locally
• ActiveTab: To integrate with the current Twitter/X tab
• Scripting: To inject AI buttons into Twitter's interface
• Host permissions: Limited to twitter.com and x.com only

6. Children's Privacy

ReplyGenius is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:

• Significant changes will be communicated through the extension
